A glorious 24-hour 'Donut Shoppe' near the Avenue U station that's been around for more than 60 years. Current owner Shaikh Kalam bought the place in 1993 and, by all accounts documented in the NY Times, enormously improved the quality. BK Magazine ranked it #3 in all of Brooklyn. The donuts are flat-out delicious and surprisingly light versions of the classics. A long-time regular recently ordered two doughnuts and two coffees for $4 — vintage Brooklyn pricing that's hard to find anywhere else.
