La Rue Doughnuts is the newest but already one of the most celebrated doughnut shops in Dallas. Born from the bakery side of the acclaimed restaurant Carte Blanche, La Rue built a cult following on Greenville Avenue before moving to its permanent home in Trinity Groves in August 2024. Every doughnut is made from scratch, with the crullers famously hand-turned in the fryer. The pistachio cruller, which the Dallas Observer says 'is worthy of its own national holiday,' is the must-order item. Following Carte Blanche's closure, Dallas practically rejoiced when La Rue announced their doughnut legacy would live on.
