Established in 1974, Cold Hollow Cider Mill is the undisputed king of apple cider donuts in Vermont and one of New England's most beloved tourist destinations. Nestled on Route 100 between Waterbury and Stowe, the mill is housed in a 19th-century farmhouse and historic dairy barn where visitors can watch fresh cider being pressed the old-fashioned way. Their legendary cider donuts — crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside, dusted with cinnamon sugar — are made fresh all day long and are the single most famous donut in the state of Vermont.
