Heitzman Traditional Bakery and Deli is a Louisville institution dating back to 1891, when Jacob Heitzman began the family baking tradition in the Germantown neighborhood. Now in its 4th generation of family ownership, Heitzman's continues to use the same recipes that made them famous over 130 years ago. Located on Shelbyville Road, they offer a full bakery and deli experience including legendary donuts, danish, kuchens, muffins, hand-crafted wedding cakes, hot breakfast sandwiches, and a relaxing dining room. They also provide catering services and have a private meeting room.
