Voted Best Dessert of 2016 by Bon Appétit, Hole Doughnuts is a crown jewel of West Asheville's food scene. Opened in 2014 in an 800-square-foot shotgun-style house between the French Broad River and Historic West Asheville, every doughnut is made to order and served piping hot. Current co-owners Hallee Hirsh and Ryan Martin took over in 2016 and have maintained the shop's beloved simplicity — just four flavors per day including three classics and one weekly rotating seasonal flavor announced on Instagram. PennyCup coffee rounds out the experience.
