Mikiko Mochi Donuts started as a pop-up in 2020 and quickly became Portland's go-to destination for mochi donuts — the ring-shaped, pull-apart Japanese-style doughnuts with a springy, chewy texture unlike anything in traditional American baking. Every donut is 100% gluten-free and dairy-free, using rice flour and tapioca starch to achieve that signature bounce. Rotating flavors like passionfruit curd, calamansi lemonade, and Thai tea showcase Southeast Asian and tropical influences that reflect Portland's diverse food scene. Now with a permanent home on 28th Ave's restaurant row and a second location in Beaverton, Mikiko has grown from pop-up darling to essential Portland bakery.
